I can't say enough great things about Mike and his business! We brought my daughters 2008 VW bug convertible in for several problems after we had it worked on at another mechanic and the VW dealership. He was able to determine what the problems were and how to repair them quickly, efficiently and cost effectively. He is an honest business owner who cares about his customers! 5 star service for sure!

On a visit to LA (from San Francisco) I realized that my car's EPC light as well as low pressure light was on. I spoke with Josh over the phone and he told me I could bring it in that morning. Turns out the culprit was the idiots at Jiffy Lube who caused an oil leak. After my car dumped 5 quarts out on a 400 mile drive because of a bad oil "change" at Shitty Lube, I was very lucky to have found this shop. They fixed the issue within an hour and even spoke with a Jiffy Lube employee (who proceeded to pay for the repairs) over the phone. I would absolutely recommend this shop to anybody with a VW. Thanks for saving my car!

Great people. Very honest. Take it to them vs dealership. Took good care of me today and very quickly when I had my service light come on.

My husband had spent a fortune on his 66 Bug. He paid $8000 for it and has put over $35000 into it.Yes, he has upgraded his motor from a 1914CC to a 2275CC. Never take your car to any VW place in Fountain Valley or San Marcos CA. In FV it sat for 5 months b4 they worked on it and did 60% of what the invoice promised. He even drove home with a custom exhaust that they didn't even bolt down and it fell off. In San Marcos, they sold him his own parts back because when he requested them back they told him they put them on his car. Mike's Foreign Car is owned by Mike, his wife and son, Josh. Mike and Josh did a complete diagnostic. Repaired his Rotors. Fixed his carbs. And did many other things. The Bug runs like night and day. It is no longer jumping at a light with flat spots and it has more torque than ever before. My husband has always said mechanics are crooks but feels MFC is an anomaly. They do all kinds of cars, even Lexus.

Mike and his crew saved my Car and my Wallet! I was on the verge of selling my 2003 Jetta TDI 5 Speed and just buying a new car due to the quotes I was getting from other shops on the Repair / Replacement of the Clutch and Flywheel Assembly. But a buddy told me about Mikes Shop and how he is a European Car Pro, sure enough I was not let disappointed. Mike quoted me almost half of what the other shops did, and got it done in a day. I picked the car up 24hrs later! I have to say the best part of the experience the beyond the superior workmanship was Mike's customer service. During the agreed upon work it was discovered that my rear main seal needed to be replaced as well as the clutch fork that was damaged from the clutch failure. Mike knew I had to really budget for this fix and instead of gouging me on parts and labor for these unexpected items during the repair, he gave them to me at cost with no labor charge saving me hundreds. Thanks again Mike see you soon for the door sensor repair!

Listen, VW owners, especially bus and Touareg owners are always on the hunt for a trusted mechanic with not only exceptional knowledge, but the ability to expertly diagnose any situation. My 2007 VW Touareg (purchased used) came with an extensive list of problems to be addressed. Mike, Josh and I think his name is Matt are TOP NOTCH, TRUSTWORTHY people that I will exclusively be seeking guidance on when it comes to my German vehicles. Very fair on prices, extremely accommodating of your schedule and a masters touch is all things you can expect when you drop your vehicle off for service here. I cannot say enough about have a mechanic who truly is in your corner. They believe, treat the client right, and they'll return. Well not only have I returned, but I brag everywhere about them. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

I have a 2007 Touareg, the last of the T1s, and it's almost impossible to find a mechanic who knows this vehicle. Mike, Josh and crew really know their stuff. Upfront, honest, and skilled at what they do, these guys are the only people allowed to touch my car. Even the VW dealership has limited personnel qualified to work on these machines. I'll make the 30 mile drive to mikes any day , they truly are the best!

Few months back I took my '87 Porsche Carrera to Mike's for an intermittent engine problem. I poured over my shop manuals, as well as Internet tech sites. One thing was certain, without a lift and a second pair of hands, I wasn't gonna fix this by myself.Made an appointment and took the car to Mike's. I told him my ideas and he listened. Didn't just blow me off. He did tell me that experience has taught him the problem may lay elsewhere.Long story short, he was right and the car was received back in perfect condition. Also very nice that I saved over $1000 from the dealer.I'll continue to use and recommend Mike's Foreign for my Porsche as long as I'm in the Orange County area.
